Time is released and invoiced locally. "Release" locks the hours — no connected timekeeping provider required, and "Invoice" turns released entries into a single PDF and archives them so they cannot be invoiced twice. A released or invoiced entry can no longer be edited or deleted anywhere.
A Billing Rate on a case. The Edit Case modal now sets or clears that case's own hourly rate, separate from your firm or client default.
The assistant can release time entries, behind an approval card naming the entries, matter, and date range, so a permanent lock is never approved blind.
Create a client or matter from the folder that already holds its files. Both create modals offer "Import from a connected source": pick a folder, and the client or matter is created already connected to it. After a client, the flow asks where its matters live and turns each folder you pick into a matter of its own.
Onboarding step now seeds a new workspace the same way, turning up to ten folders from a connected source into clients, or into matters. It can be skipped, and more added later from Clients and Matters.
A connected source can be disconnected straight from its 3-dot menu in Files.

Disconnecting a source no longer deletes what it linked. Reconnecting the same account brings back every connected folder, workspace, and site, and the document bindings on files you had already downloaded. Turning a document management system off in Settings, or removing a single source, is still a real removal.
A time entry's billing rate is resolved when it is released, not when it is created, so a new rate applies to every entry still awaiting release, after which it freezes. Releasing with no rate set warns rather than blocks.
Local document work — a redline, an extraction, a draft — now has a four-minute budget and is stopped when it runs out, with an answer suggesting a shorter section or a split file, instead of running on until the assistant gave up.
Uploading a new version of a document no longer asks for a version comment.

A matter or connected folder no longer appears twice at a client's Files root, and opening it lands in the matter rather than a bare folder listing.
Files and folders whose name begins or ends with a space are reachable again, in browsing, search, linking, downloads, and exports alike.
A time entry can no longer land on two invoices, and if the PDF fails to render the hours stay billable.
Opening a SharePoint document from the assistant window works, its detail screen names the site instead of a raw drive id.
The subscription screen appears, and clears, as soon as a seat changes, instead of waiting for a restart.
Drilling into a folder while browsing a connected source no longer flashes the page to a spinner, the macOS updater's progress bar no longer runs ahead of the download, and scrolling a Home carousel to its edge no longer bounces the whole window on macOS.

The assistant window button in the title bar; restarting it is now a row in the sidebar's account menu.
"Import files" and "Link folder" from the title bar's + menu. Both are reached from a client's or matter's Files view, where the destination is already known.
